　　This week is spring break in the U.S. Spring break happens at the middle of the semesterand all students do not attend school for one week.

　　这周正好是美国学生的春假。它通常是在每学期期中，这时，学生大概可以休息一个星期左右的时间。

　　For university students, spring break is associated with going to the beach, concerts, drinking and partying. Butin reality, most students just go home and spend time with their families, or they stay at school and get ahead on their schoolwork.

　　对许多大学生来说，春假常常意味着沙滩、音乐会、品酒或是聚会。但事实上，大部分的学生还是会选择回家，和家人团聚，亦或留在学校继续做作业。

　　For high school students, spring break is a time to stay up late and hang out with friends. Other students use the time to go on service trips and help others. My favorite activity when I was in high school, was a trip to help package food for poor kids followed by a trip to the Mall of America, the biggest mall in the United States.

　　对高中生而言，春假则意味着可以熬夜到很晚，还可以和朋友一起玩耍。有些学生也会选择在这个时候进行所谓的“服务游”，以帮助他九游彩票人。高中时，我最喜欢在春假去全美购物中心（MOA，美国最大的购物中心），路上还会将包装食品分发给那些家庭条件较差的孩子。

　　For families with younger students, spring break can be a real childcare nightmare. Parents must find someone to watch their kids for this week when they are not in school. For other families, sometimes parents take off work and the whole family will go on vacation.

　　对于孩子年龄较小的家庭而言，春假完全可以说是个育儿噩梦。这时，家长就必须找人来看管他们的孩子。其他家庭的父母则会休假，一家人出去旅行度假。

　　In my family, we usually went on a short vacation, just three or four days. We would not travel far, but we often went to a hotel and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Overall, I have good memories of spring break just relaxing and spending time with my family and friends.

　　我们家经常会进行一个三到四天的度假，我们不会去很远的地方，常常去酒店游泳。整体来说，我很享受春季，让我很放松，并且能够和家庭朋友聚会。

　　In China, the color red is usually associatedwith good luck.

　　For school, I must read one book per week. I am trying to get ahead on my work, so this week I will read two books.

　　After the earthquake in Tang Shan, I went on a service trip to help the people who lost their homes.

　　It took me three hours to get home from work today. The traffic was a nightmare!

　　My mother hurt her leg and needs an operation. I will take offwork to take her to the hospital.
